No major changes to the ongoing snowfall forecast with 2-4 inches of snow expected across much of the area. I did reduce amounts along I-80 where 4 inches of snow will be harder to achieve, but I'd still anticipate 2-3 inches in this area as well.

Snow is beginning to spread into Central Illinois and will continue through Monday evening. Snow will stick to pavement almost immediately and will result in slick travel for the evening commute. Please allow extra time to reach your deistinations. Snow accum. 2-4" expected.

We've got thundersnow between Springfield and Quincy! This burst of heavy snow should reach I-74 by 2 pm. Snowfall rates could exceed 1 inch an hour where thundersnow occurs. Posted 1:16 pm 11/29/25

The next band of showers is moving in from the west as the Canadian cold front moves into the area. Winds will turn gusty and temperatures will drop once the front moves through, a few flurries will be possible late tonight and early Wednesday morning. Posted 5:52 pm 11/25/25

A few rain showers will impact the area on Friday but rainfall amounts will remain light (less than 0.25" area wide). We'll see some welcome sunshine over the weekend with warmer temperatures before another system brings more rain late Monday and Tuesday.
