It’s one thing to watch Coyne Schofield on tv, and another to see her live and in person. She generates plays out of thin air and my goodness, she’s fast. She had drives to the net last night that were so much fun to watch, and the inside-out she put on Markowski was impressive!

In one of my all-time favourite quotes, Ottawa Charge defender Rory Guilday had this to say about her first professional goal: “Sometimes you’ve just got to rip it; in that moment, I wasn’t thinking of much else.” “Rip it” she did, and what a goal it was.

Last night's game in Ottawa was about far more than a game. In true Carla MacLeod fashion, the night was about finding the best in a situation, inspiring others, and uplifting through positivity. https://t.co/eHD17ysNqz

Despite the score from tonight's game, I have donated $100 to the Canadian Cancer Society, and I did so in Carla's name. If you're in a position to do the same, you can do so here:

As Canada’s largest national cancer charity, the Canadian Cancer Society funds cancer research, offers cancer support services and shares trusted information.
