Imagine you're building a DeFi protocol and you have to add in these requirements:. - ability to roll back trades .- ability to do emergency liquidations .- ability to freeze matching / cancel orders. What do you do?.
The CLARITY Act (aka market structure bill) should exempt all defi from traditional market structure regulation -- including perps. Currently, the way it's drafted only regulates spot markets. In the best case scenario, broad exemptions for all defi (not just spot) would be.
