MORE PROGRESS! What a FANTASTIC FLOW! Ch 13 ("Thought-Driven Emotions") is now finalized into a very solid R3 revision. Lots of copy-editing but no major rewriting or restructuring. Everything's now clean & nice. Another chapter COMPLETELY done! Hallelujah! 🤓🤓🚀🎇🎆 #amwriting

PROGRESS 6/6: The third and final adjustment (in terms of references) was the switch from the LeDoux and Phelps article in "Handbook of Emotions" (2000/2004) to LeDoux's own book, "The Emotional Brain", where he discusses things in more detail.📖📖📘📗📕 #amwriting

PROGRESS 5/6: Another switch I did was to replace the more general (popular) account of "how emotion works" in Lazarus and Lazarus, "Passion and Reason" (1994) and instead used the more standard "academic" account in Lazarus, "Emotion and Adaptation" (1991). 😎😎 #amwriting

PROGRESS 4/6: I replaced three references. First I skipped Nigel Warburton's discussion in his "Philosophy: The Basics" and instead used David Wong's dedicated article on "Moral Relativism" in the excellent Becker & Becker, "Encyclopedia of Ethics" (2nd ed.). #amwriting

PROGRESS 3/6: I made one (very late) change in Stack B, where I added one new reference. Though I planned Stack C to contain only 10 references, it now contains 11. But the change really made sense, so it turned out brilliantly! 🤓🤓🤓 #amwriting

PROGRESS 2/6: I made two (very late) changes in Stack B, where I replaced two references. Just as in Stack A, I have here 11 references, but two of them are not shown on this photo (see upcoming tweets). But now everything really fits nicely together! 😀😀😀 #amwriting

PROGRESS 1/6: All references in the very complex Chapter 13 ("Thought-Driven Emotions") are now "closed". Originally, 32 references were planned, but several replacements made it 33 references instead. But Stack A kept all its planned 11 refs without changes! 😀😀 #amwriting

PLAN: Started revision of Part 3 by finalizing Ch 16 ("The SEP Way: Emotional Selfishness"). Why? B/c it's the chapter summarizing Part 3 (Chapters 12-15). So knowing the "conclusion", I can now go back to those chapters and make sure that I actually "deliver" that conclusion.😎

PROGRESS! Chapter 9 ("The 'Relaxed Egoism' Principle") is now in a nice, final R3 revision. The copy-editing today was not overwhelming, since the chapter was already in a very good state in its R2 incarnation. So yet another chapter completely done! 🤓🤓🚀🚀🎇🎇🎆🎆 #amwriting

Giorgio Parisi, "In a Flight of Starlings". Complex systems: a collective order emerges from local interactions. Prediction is hard, reductionism falters, simulations dominate, but scientific realism is possible. Complexity is a challenge, not a limit. Just give us MORE MONEY!😎

PROGRESS! Chapter 8 ("The 'Individualism' Principle") is now in a final R3 revision. The copy-editing was quite intense, but still MUCH quicker than expected. I had planned this would take AT LEAST three days, instead of merely 8 hours! So another chapter done!😎🎇🎆🍾 #amwriting
