Tom Lehrer has left us, aged 97. An incredible talent who, in 2023, put all his songs and recordings into the public domain, making them free for anyone to use for anything, forever. What a remarkable bloke.

The most Star Wars thing of all is Mel Brooks acting like George Lucas and trying to pretend a spinoff doesn't exist. Though unlike George Lucas, Mel Brooks was IN the spinoff he's trying to pretend doesn't exist.

I support the strike, but I'm really bummed that we'll never see one of the only episodes written by Douglas Adams. Not sure why they can't just finish it when the strike is settled. I was really looking forward to seeing Denis Carey back but as a good guy for once.

Seriously, Brian Blessed would have been the perfect Omega in the 3 Doctors style. Able to be tragic but also incredibly loud when making his big pronouncements. Dust falling from the rafters of Bad Wolf Studios as he says, "I . am . Omega. CREATOR OF THIS WORLD!".

If I ever did a book for the Black Library, I'd work in an homage to this. Drukhari think they have a clear shot on an Imperial Paradise World, then two bumbling Techpriests get a Necron Tomb Complex to ID the Drukhari as a threat to the Great Sleep.

I think SpaceX and Boring Company should merge to build a space elevator. Has the added benefit of reducing Elon's workload by 1 company.
