It’s us who hold our elected officials accountable, and I absolutely plan to hold our MPP accountable for the promises he has made. This next leg of our journey has only just begun!

Finally, to all who were disappointed in last night’s outcome, remember our civic duty doesn’t only present itself every four years. We must consistently be advocates for what we believe in, and activists against what we do not.

To my team, supporters, friends and family, thank you for your words of encouragement, your time and energy, and your contributions, financial and otherwise. We would not have gotten as far as we did without your help.

The people of #Scarborough North spoke quite clearly last night, and though it wasn’t the outcome I anticipated, I completely accept it. Because it’s never been about me, it’s always been about the will of the people.
