The prevalence of #ChildLabor in Sub-Saharan Africa is rising and now stands at 23.9 % of children 5 to 17, comprising 86.6 million children. There are now more children in child labor in sub-Saharan Africa than in the rest of the world combined. pls RT.

Alabama chick processor Mar-Jac has agreed to pay $385,000 in civil #childlabor penalties to USDOL. Juan Coria, a Wage and Hour Division regional administrator in Atlanta, said Mar-Jac has “repeatedly been found to put young workers at risk.”.

Fox New host @RCamposDuffy has it WRONG. She said "your precious government doesn't allow kids to work summer jobs in blueberry fields." Federal law allows kids who are just 12 to work in the fields. We think that's way too young, but kids are picking blueberries now.
