The reason why so many Asians here have white names is because English only Americans can’t and won’t even try to learn our actual names. I don’t know how many times people asked me for a “easier name” when I introduced myself.

当時小学校低学年だった妹の先生がまだ現役で、未だに左のイラストをクラスで使ってるらしい🫣.中学生の頃の絵でちょっと恥ずかしいので今度新しいの欲しいか聞いてみよう…. (当時めちゃくちゃ CLAMP の影響受けてたな〜).

I could stay for months no problem. Everything I like is at home, and there are no people I have to deal with. I only go out because I have to take my kids to school, but even then I don’t get out of my car so I don’t have to talk to the other parents.
some people can stay home for 2 days without going out and they are not even bothered 🥹.

アメリカでも売ってくれと思ったけど、以前誰かが「日本では安く美味しいものが食べれるけどアメリカでは美味しいものは高いから低所得の人達はピザとかサンドイッチ食べてるイメージ」と言ったら日本住みのアメリカ人達が怒って日本のサンドイッチ馬鹿にし始めたの思い出して無理だろうなと思った。.

This reminds me of that Malcolm in the Middle episode where they let off a giant firework that turned the night sky into day for a few seconds.
Remember that nobody will ever watch that firework video again. unless it's the July 4th 2012 fireworks show in San Diego where they accidentally let off 18 minutes of fireworks at once

アメリカ住んでてそう思う。.こっちは果物って安くて気軽に買えるけど、甘くて美味しいと思うものが本当に少ない。. イチゴのパックとかかろうじて一個か2個甘い？かな？というのが入ってるかもしれない感じだったり。.日本の果物食べ慣れた後のアメリカの果物はそんなに美味しくない。.慣れるけど….
