Had a chance to speak to these guys & I've seen these in action. They're very impressive! A real step towards the Rosie-the-Robot dreams that have driven many of us, and it will also change folks lives for the better! I urge you to check it out even if robots aren't your thing!

It's always funny how things that are stupidly simple for a human are complicated for a robot :)
University of Tokyo researchers developed a 'two-armed' robot that can peel a banana without squashing it. The robot learns through a 'deep imitation learning' process where developers repeatedly demonstrated the peeling action hundreds of times in order for the robot to copy it.
