Agreed! Well said Mr Boggs. I’ve always thought that. I also thought he got the brunt of the WS loss when realistically it was the managing that caused the loss - not 1 play. The ovation that Buckner got in 2008 at Fenway was way over due and therapeutic for everyone.

Loved watching that man and the 86 team play. He played with such heart and skill; it was our pleasure to watch it.

I know you and George Brett are friends. I believe George loved watching Bill play, so much that when the Cubs were playing a day game, George broke a toe trying to get back to the tv to see Bill bat & missed some time. Pretty sure I remember that right.
