Return to football: Cheshire Girls League- Update
The League plans to restart season 2020-21 on10th April, subject to guidelines for the return of Grassroots Football.
We aim to complete the season by 31st May 2021.
Further details will follow once The FA issue their guidance

Following ongoing discussions, we now have been given the go ahead for spectators to be admitted to league games taking place at Moss Farm. This is on the basis of 1 spectator per player. Thanks to all the parties involved for their hard work in making this possible.

Hats off and massive thanks to Middlewich Town and Nantwich's U11 teams for their outstanding sportsmanship last Saturday. The match exemplified teamwork and the spirit of girls' football. A special round of applause to the new referee who received three cheers at the end👍🏻👍🏻

U9 & U10's will start in November, with spectators (1 adult per child) , we are finalising arrangements / start date, as we look to incorporate yet more teams/clubs into these age groups.

No fixtures will now take place during January. With the current situation and restrictions as they are, we had little option but to pause fixtures for this period.
We realise this is disappointing but hope there is understanding for the action we have taken at this time.

Today we report that Tony Mitchell , Club Secretary for Winsford Over 3s died on Friday 22 January following a stay in hospital. It is only last August that Tony was awarded the FA’s National Coach of the year for youth and the year before that he received an everyday hero award.

This season the league will be paying referee's centrally and then invoicing Clubs - so your team Managers no longer need to worry about paying the referee, this should help turnover games faster for us as well.
