S/Sgt Jones is the sole volunteer officer out and about in the rural areas of Cheshire this evening adding another Taser and Response driver trained callsign to the list.
No naughty boys or girls encountered so far this boxing day evening.
Yesterday 8 of our experienced volunteer police officers started their training to become a Specially Trained Officer (STO) to carry Taser. One of only 7 forces in the UK to make this important investment.

Today 15 officers from SC to S/Supt passed the four day Level 2 - Public Order Public Safety course at our Tactical Training Centre. Whilst intense, it was a fantastic experience. A key investment in our volunteer officers, which will help keep our communities even safer! 👏🏼

The Special Constabulary supported by Beat Management and the Safety Camera spent a proactive day with a targeted traffic enforcement op. In total 29 road users were reported for speeding. Tickets for red light contraventions, no seatbelts and a vehicle seized for no insurance.

Yesterday was the end of week two for cohort 3 on their response driving course. The courses equips you with the skill to drive on a variety of road types, speeds & dealing with risk. This week took them to Cosford & Borth-y-Gest. Another tough week, but they passed week 2. 👏🏼

Today 7 Specials from across the West booked on to support Op Jingles. During the shift the details of 35 cars were checked, 3 TOR's were issued for speed, 1 for a number plate offence and 1 vehicle was seized for no insurance. A great contribution from our volunteer Officers.

Tonight saw the attestation of intake 55 of the special constabulary. Different circumstances to previous intakes with social distancing in operation. But a great ceremony was attended by ACC Jenny Simms and the citizens in policing team. All officers will be in area next month.
Intake 54 have today passed their assessments 👏👏and then met Intake 55 on their initial induction day to share their experiences. Well done to all on passing and good luck at your LPUs. Welcome onboard to the new starters.

Last Night, our Warrington Specials attended a Road Traffic Collision. DW21 managed the scene and dealt with the parties involved in the Collison. The incident resulted in two people being arrested by officers for offences under the Road Traffic Act.
