The student loan scandal - interest on loans is more than the repayments for many on Plan 2 so debt grows trapping them with extra 9% income tax for up to 30 years https://t.co/1kw8ZC6Efi £15.2 billion interest added to student loans last year, only £5 billion repaid.

‘Graduates need to be earning about £66,000 before they start tackling the actual debt and not just the interest.’ The student loan system is an unsustainable, irrational, immoral and classist system that’s been ignored by politicians for far too long.

This is shocking @wesstreeting If we are going to pay our resident doctors so little please at least cancel their debt.

Real term pay cuts for resident doctors when they pay the government interest on student loans at about 5% more than a mortgage or bank loan They should strike until @wesstreeting lives up to his word on pay restoration and stops profiteering from student loans

Thousands of people who have had a stroke are ending up severely disabled or dying because the NHS does not have enough stroke consultants to treat them quickly enough. What’s less well known is one of the reasons why this is happening. The Government is capping the number of

While patients wait years for surgery and weeks to see their GP, doctors in England are facing unemployment. This year, 40,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 NHS training jobs. Without these jobs, doctors cannot progress to become Consultants or GPs. This is not an accident.

🚨Why is the NHS rapidly expanding non-doctor clinicians while capping doctor training places? 🚨Who decided this delivers better care? 🚨Why aren’t patients clearly told who’s treating them? ❗️Workforce shortages shouldn’t be solved by redefining what a doctor is.

Over 4,000 doctors left the UK in 2024, highlighting a serious NHS staffing crisis. Our NHS is losing talent fast, and if conditions don’t improve, more skilled medics will feel they have no choice but to go. https://t.co/mzm6b9Kd4P

No, @wesstreeting. Let’s be clear: You’re NOT doing all you can to arm the NHS with the latest tech to manage intense winter pressures. What you SHOULD be doing is using tech to stop airborne viruses spreading like wildfire in hospitals: ▪️Ventilation ▪️Air filters ▪️FFP masks

1.9million attendances at A&E over 5years Just 65 more GPs employed could have delivered 1.9million appointments over 5years and covered this ‘huge’ number of A&E ‘extra’ attendances Imagine what 6000 more GPs could have done if 2019 Tory commitment had been met ~ 180million
