Today we observed young builders at work! Buckets of sand became “cement” as they mixed &adjusted the water, discussing the perfect consistency.“It’s too dry, let’s add more liquid” Fantastic teamwork, role play&real scientific thinking in action!#EarlyYears #STEM @CherryGrovePS

An exciting trip to Caldy Valley today! We acted out The Three Billy Goats on real bridges, crafted muddy troll faces and spotted ducks & even a heron by the pond.We also spotted signs of the troll: troll footprints, his shoes & even his shirt! A perfect day! @CherryGrovePS

First-hand learning in action! We’ve been observing tadpoles up close - watching them munch cucumber snacks, using our phonics to write names on post-its & exploring the life cycle. One child even made a chart predicting when the frogs will have their birthday! @CherryGrovePS

Today the children worked together to create a swimming pool in our outdoor area - happy feet splashing! Later it became a cafe. Using real objects enhanced their play, building trust and confidence. Authentic items spark deeper, more valuable experiences. @CherryGrovePS

The Easter Bunny left us a poem & an egg hunt! We found all the eggs hidden on the field!We then worked in pairs-one was the Bunny, hiding the egg & writing clues; the other read them & searched.Then we changed roles!.A fun reading & writing activity! We loved it!@CherryGrovePS
