No, it’s not frozen, but it is the largest coloured (is white a colour?) tank we’ve ever done measuring 9.3m in height. It’s being lifted ready to have the steelwork added. Read more about our thermoplastic chemical storage tanks available in any colour https://t.co/eKJGObaeU2

We’ve completed a great project with Essity as part of their £30M investment in a new paper recycling plant in Northumberland. We've delivered 3 thermoplastic spiral wound storage tanks with ChemiGuards all interconnecting pipework and installation. More https://t.co/9FuwLn9UfH

The height of a chemical storage tank is simply based on its working volume, right? Not quite. Many safety and access factors need to be considered. This animation guides you through how we design and calculate the final, finished height of a tank https://t.co/E7VYpUyPVo

The largest and heaviest tank in Chem Resist history leaves site next week, we want to recognise Joe Rhodes and Jordan Rock. Working on this project, they recently celebrated their anniversaries after starting in 2004. Amazing contribution over the last 20 years thank you both!

Ironically this week, in progressing the largest and heaviest tank we’ve managed to dodge the downpours and fit the rainskirt to the bund. The overflow, nozzles and logo nameplate have all been added. Next? Fitting the Davit arm to the side manway and the ladder and handrail.

Testing time for our largest and heaviest tank! Every tank we manufacture goes through a Hydrostatic Test which requires it to be brim-full with water for 24hrs without loss of containment. Both tank & bund have passed with flying colours. Next, final positioning in the bund.

Exciting developments today as our largest and heaviest tank was lifted into the bund. The lift used the specially designed lifting lugs and allowed the alignment of the side manway and nozzles in the tank and bund to be checked. Engineering at its very best!

Progress on the largest and heaviest tank in Chem Resist history continues with work on the side manways and nozzles for both the bund and tank cylinders. The thickness of the cylinders makes cutting challenging, so they’re drilled first. And the steelwork has beengalvanised.

And fabrication of the largest and heaviest tank in our history is in progress; the tank lid is complete, lifted and welded in place. The tank body is marked up and positioned on the levelling plinth ready for the base to be added. #chemicalstorage #thermoplastics #60anniversary

Manufacture of the largest and heaviest tank in our history is progressing well! The bund is produced and measures in at over 7m tall with a circumference of almost 14m, the bases are cut and the steelwork is heading off to be galvanised. Fabrication next!
