All these 18 year old & broke college students talking about they making 6/7 figures trading just made me realize how cooked the industry is 💀.

8/8 Your homework:. Unfollow anyone who only flexes profits. Follow educators who show losses too. Replace your next scrolling session with backtesting or chart review. Watch how your mindset shifts in just one week.

7/8 Remember:. Social media literally ROTS your brain. Get into reading psychology books to better understand the mechanics of how your mind works. Not just trading and self-help, though those can be good.

6/8 Curate your feed ruthlessly. Follow value-driven creators. Replace scrolling with education. Set app limits if needed. Your subconscious is always absorbing information. Make sure it actually helps you grow.

5/8 Here's what changed everything for me:. I stopped following traders who ONLY flexed profits. Started following real educators and mentors on the same journey. Replaced mindless scrolling with actual education.

4/8 Information overload is killing your progress:. 📱 Endless trading videos. 📚 Countless trading books. 🎯 Infinite guru content. Result? Overwhelm. Paralysis. Zero action.

3/8 You start taking bigger risks to get those screenshot-worthy gains. You feel like a failure when you're grinding out small, consistent profits. Social media's hateful response to sharing losses shows how most people don't understand how the game actually works.

2/8 Social media trading culture is toxic. Everyone posts wins, never losses. Lamborghinis and Rolexes everywhere. It programs your brain to chase quick wins and ego boosts instead of consistent process.

Unfollow everyone. I'm serious. Your Instagram feed is secretly sabotaging your trading results. All that flashy success you see on social media? It's a lie. 👇.

8/8 Remember:. Losses are part of this game. It's not about avoiding losses. It's about sticking to your plan because you MUST build confidence in your strategy. This is the number one thing that will get you to profitability over time.

7/8 After 3 consecutive losses, I'm done for the day regardless of my total risk or P&L. Set a maximum daily dollar loss and stick to it. Have clear rules for when to stop trading and prevent further losses.

6/8 No emotional stories. No replaying it 100 times. Just data and forward movement. This keeps one loss from becoming five. A loss following your plan is still a win.

5/8 Quick loss review protocol:. Ask yourself one question—did I follow my plan?. ✅ If yes, move on immediately. The trade was good regardless of outcome. ❌ If no, write down what rule you broke and why.

4/8 When you're not attached to the outcome, one loss is just data. You review it, learn from it, and move on. No emotional spirals. No revenge. Just consistent execution that compounds over time.

3/8 Here's what separates pros from blown accounts:. Accept the loss before you even enter the trade. Before clicking buy, tell yourself "I'm okay losing this money.".

2/8 Your ego kicks in. You double down. Triple your risk. Chase the market to "get even.". Before you know it, that $50 loss turned into a $500 disaster. The market loves humbling cocky traders.

One loss becomes five because you don't have THIS protocol. You take a perfectly normal loss, then spiral. Revenge trading after a loss destroys accounts faster than bad strategy ever could. 🧵.
