@LeeSpring_ @hikki_lurver I think the Japanese were a lot worse than the Germans. So much so that there were Nazis in China who decided to help savr the Chinese against the Japanese.

Iโ€™m getting quote tweets on this post from K-POP stans (ofc pronouns in profile), basically saying that the best way to react to the horrors from history is to wish for the death of the perpetrator country and its citizens in the present day. What a moronic way of thinking.

Anti-Japan hate in Korea & anti-Korea dislike in Japan is not even comparable. Japanese ppl just donโ€™t like the fact that Koreans hate Japan. A huge majority of Koreans JUST. HATE. JAPAN. Here are some pictures drawn by Korean school students & exhibited at a train station.

You can teach about what happened in history without teaching children to hate the people who happened to be born in the country that committed the atrocity. All children in Japan know about what happened in Hiroshima & Nagasaki but most still hold a favorable image of the US.

Japan teaches history, not hate or resentment, because itโ€™s not helpful nor healthy. South Korea teaches a distorted history, along with both hate and resentment, because it helps their politicians in the polls. The real loser is the Korean people.
