             Year 8 have been working on translation skills and the relative pronoun. 7SC have just started the passive voice and became a human verb table. A great interactive way to learn the new endings! ๐

             A group of Year 5s enjoyed a trip to St Gabriel's this week to take part in their Maths Challenge. They had a fantastic day, demonstrating sharp maths skills, great focus and strong teamwork to solve a variety ofย  problems. Well done!

             Year 3 enjoyed a woodland English lesson.ย They have started studying 'The Iron Man' and their task was to create a Wood Man. In teams they worked together to create their own sculpture using wood, leaves, moss and mud. Well done, Year 3!

             On Thursday our Year 7 pupils had an unforgettable experience at the Williams F1 Centre, where they were immersed in the world of cutting-edge engineering and motorsport. What a fantastic day out! ๐๏ธโ๏ธ

             Cheam welcomed medical staff from 13 local schools for an insightful and fascinating Nurses' Forum.              The Year of the Snake started in style in the Pre-Prep as we all wore red and gold colours. In assembly the staff gave a performance of the story of the Chinese zodiac and we all enjoyed a carousel of activities and a delicious Chinese lunch.              This term the 6HF girls, treated the PALS children to a fun morning of music, movement, creativity, imagination, chat and friendship!              Best-selling childrenโs author Peter Murray and his wife, โKath with a Kโ, visited us to deliver a thrilling talk to the children in Years 4 to 8. The children then launched into some creative writing workshops, where they started crafting their own spooky stories! ๐๐ฉ๏ธ

             Years 3 to 8 enjoyed workshops with three established names from the art world. Oliver Akers Douglas, who ran an oils and landscapes workshop, Guy Allen who did printmaking with the children and Miranda Donovan who ran a collage and mixed media workshop!

             Exceptional effort and creativity from all boarders for the Christmas dorm decorating competition! Mr and Mrs Milbank had tough jobs as judges but Osprey were the overall champions! Well done to all the children who made their dorms look truly magical!

             What a show! The children absolutely loved hearing the tale of the princesses vying for the title of dance champion in a surprise staff pantomime on Monday! Well done and thank you to all staff involved, the children were so excited and our sides still hurt from laughing!!

             2R had a special visit to Oak Lodge today to make wreaths with the residents there and to sing some Christmas songs! Thank you Oak Lodge, for looking after us so well โ we really enjoyed seeing you again!
