As a late night overthinking exercise, I have recently begun thinking about the sublime as an affect. If the sublime is indeed defined by what it is not, is ungraspable and constantly evades both definition and description, how then can we begin to approach it as an affect?

Reprimanded for asking my partner to help me out with cleaning. Him getting judged for proudly admitting that he’s the one who cooks and takes care of the house. Then asked what I’d do once we are married? Ummm… the same?

I understand cooking and cleaning as basic survival skills. But why the insistence on LEARNING how to cook and clean essential for a girl to learn before marriage?
