Those wounded today in the military may claim under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme rather than its War Pension Scheme predecessor, but they still need to represent their harm to allow officials to authorise them an award.

Something the military compensation schemes cannot take into account is the harm caused by those schemes’ operations.

Did civilians significantly harmed in the war leave the capital for other areas? . The statistics suggest so, but we cannot tell the age of those civilian claimants, some of whom may have been harmed in post-WW2 incidents.

When we look at the regions for those civilian payments, we see potential links to war time bombing: . 3/4 of civilian war pensioners today live in NW, SW& SE England, Yorkshire & The Humber, and East of England. Interestingly London has fewer than 5.
