Indeed, force people from Israel, treat them like animals, level Gaza and maybe they won't want to join you for a picnic.
@CharlieGordon20 @ted_splitter @RobertClark62 @Howard_Lovy A little bit of common sense and reason, understanding cause and effect, would suffice.

Except of course Arab Israelis.
@ted_splitter @AnsamGroshong @CharlieGordon20 @RobertClark62 @Howard_Lovy The Israelis are indigenous, plus they speak the same language, read the same book, and pray to the same god since time immemorable. What other culture from that area survived and thrived like this?.

If Israel offered the Palestinians the rights Israelis enjoy perhaps the same would be true. I absolutely understand the level of hatred. I also believe that could change if Israel took a different path. Jews lived in relative peace throughout the middle east before the Nakba.
@CharlieGordon20 @RobertClark62 @Howard_Lovy It’s not the same on both sides. If the Palestinians/Hamas/Arabs stopped fighting Israel wouldn’t need to do anything. If Israel stopped fighting it would be all destroyed and its people massacred. Westerner don’t understand the level of hate towards Israel in the Arab world.

Support for Hamas is the consequence. With prosperity and freedom they would not enjoy the support they do. Further violence against Palestinians simply fuels their popularity.
@CharlieGordon20 @RobertClark62 @Howard_Lovy Hamas is not a consequence. They’re an Islamist group, and the Islamists ideology will always reject the existence of a Jewish state. ISIS in Iraq attacked and massacred the Yazidis, a small ethnic religious minority that hasn’t hurt anyone.

Hamas came to power in 2007, following Israels occupation and subsequent blockade of Gaza which started in 2005. Something to loose? Israel controled the coast, airspace, movement of all goods and aid, Gaza Egypt border destroyed the economy.
@CharlieGordon20 @RobertClark62 @Howard_Lovy Remember Hamas rose to prominence during the Oslo years - precisely when Palestinians had 'something to lose'. Before that they were utterly marginal. And the Gaza wars were after giving them the entire Strip ('something to lose').

@33BlindMice @NBC789 Antisemitism is abhorrent, as is blaming the bigotry of others for the consequences of the abhorrent actions and atrocities committed by Netanyahu. Most people hate Netanyahu and the actions of Israel, not because they were committed by a Jew.

Blocked for asking @stkirsch to show some respect for a grieving family rather than use someone's sad passing to further an opinion in public. Pure vile
