This is such a wholesome story & deserves more attention. Through the Cricket Grannies, community initiatives like the spread of communicable diseases, healthy living, GBV, and so on, can be highlighted even more.
In eastern Uganda’s Jinja district, groups of older women have embraced cricket as a way to stay active and socially connected. Referred to locally as “cricket grannies”, they take part in informal games and training that combine light exercise with elements of the sport 📸

Well said 💚 #SaveKitubuluForest
Dear Government of Uganda, we are not against development but not at the cost of life, nature, and our future. Kitubulu Forest is not empty land; it is our lungs. Its only “crime” is being near Entebbe Airport, yet that strategic location has made it a target for destruction.
