Admission alone is not accountability. What is she going to *do* to repair the mess she didn’t just take part in, but led. This is one of the many reasons people don’t trust abolitionist alternatives to policing and prisons. So much is allowed to just slide.

🚨BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene just apologized for "taking part in toxic politics." I don't trust her, but honestly I'LL TAKE IT! Anyone else feel the same way?

I’m salty/sad because I definitely submitted an application. But honestly more upset that this won’t be available anymore for any of us.

@CharleneCac Charlene, that's truly amazing! Brooklyn & Harlem are special places and you were destined to have that conversation with Spike Lee who btw supported @reelsisters during our very first years! Thank you for sharing — it was a blessing to screen Plenum! ❣️

Yesterday, I screened my latest film at @reelsisters. I decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood, ended up meeting Spike Lee and talked about how he’s influenced my work. I then had delicious pizza before popping into Gladys Books and wine. NYC, I will always love you.

But, it looks like ‘48 just set off another round of explosions in Lebanon — killing and injuring more people. This is what we’re paying for and endorsing.

Just as it is a mistake to think that non-immigrant Black folks just started having anti-immigrant sentiments.

If I didn’t talk to a lot of different Black people I would be shocked about what Davis said about Black women and Harris. It is a mistake for organizers to overlook or be condescending about how many Black women are excited about Harris.

You can still disagree after you read a thing or learn more. At least it’s grounded. What happens if you don’t? What is missed? Again, I’m talking amongst *us*

It’s also the frame shaped by and defined by imperial/colonial actors. I know other people have thought about this more clearly than I have.

I don’t think “terrorism” the right way to describe what ‘48 just did in Lebanon to everyday people. That frame seems ill-fitting and misleading. That was an act (within a decades long campaign) to escalate genocide, colonialism, regional, and international war.
