And finally - such a surprise from @NC_Governor and @UNCFacGov who honored me with prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine. I am truly touched! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Also, great to be part of the establishment of the Carolina Latinx Center, which was approved by #UNCBOT today. This will be a wonderful addition and resource to @UNC to celebrate Hispanic heritage & culture. TY Provost Bob Blouin & many advocates for all your work.

In my tenure, I have had the special privilege of traveling to 11 countries to witness @UNC’s international impact. Thank you @UNC_Global for all your hard work around the world helping Carolina leave a lasting global footprint.

It was a privilege to spend time with leaders and representives of many diversity groups on campus yesterday, led by @UNCDiversity. TY for your tireless work to make @UNC an equitable and inclusive place for all.

Can’t leave @UNC without handing out a few more slices of pizza to our incredible students! Hope to see you all there - help me accomplish my goal of taking a selfie with every student on campus! #GDTBATH

It was an honor to join the Carolina Indian Circle one last time to speak about the future of @UNC_AIC - thank you for welcoming me into the native community and letting me be part of so many wonderful traditions like POWWOW over the years.

From running Kenan Stadium stairs on 9/11 to celebrating graduates at Red, White and Carolina Blue grad ceremonies, I have watched you develop into future leaders in service to our nation.

What a treat to speak with entrepreneurship students in Professor Bernard Bell’s Econ 393 class yesterday. Wonderful questions about leadership, life after graduation and managing challenges.

Great to meet with the @UNCGAA board today - thank you for all you do for Carolina. Extraordinary Tar Heels keeping us connected for life.

In my last two weeks as Chancellor, I am excited to spend time with amazing @UNC people. Thank you to the women in science groups for inviting me to speak yesterday. You continue to inspire me and all who follow your path.

Overnight, workers removed the base and tablets from the Confederate Monument site. I am confident this is the right decision for our community – one that will promote public safety, enable us to begin the healing process and renew our focus on our great mission.

As a community college transfer, I know how important @UNC's C-STEP program is to helping our students reach their dreams for a great college education. TY @NCGSKFound for the impactful gift supporting 500 students from community colleges across the state that we announced today.
