Blizzard did not contribute a single cent to the AWC & MDI prize pools this year. They pulled their own ‘base’ contribution of 500k when they realised how well the crowd funding did ($2.64m USD).
I wonder how many who bought the toys would have if they had known this.
Attention people who are mad about Blizzard supposedly not contributing any money to the prize pools:
This is a completely unfounded conclusion, there is no place that states that Blizz won't contribute if the pool is too big

To clarify, I’m not upset about the prize pool being lower than expected. I’m grateful to the community for actually funding this for the players.
I’m disappointed Blizzard pulled this off and won’t acknowledge their deception. Trust in Blizzard was already low.

why not make more changes as they’re needed? No one wants to q into something like ret pala globalling for weeks while we wait for gear and soulbinds.
Nerf the obviously broken, buff the weak and tune accordingly as the season progresses.

I tried it, it’s OK but there is like 5 different steps of counterplay when I could just log on my boomkin and do as much dmg in 2 globals in no setup 🤡

I made an Undead lock for PvP as it’s the better overall race for locks in TBC. I got r1 titles, glad mounts and Ashes of Al’ar on it. In Wrath, human is objectively the best race for every class that can be human.
If I reroll, I lose all my progress and attachment to my char

What’s the point of doing anything on that undead now? Why push gladiator or rank 1 in season 3/4? Why grind mounts? Any progress is lost if I reroll Ally, which feels bad.
PvPers are always going to go for the minmax and no faction change punishes them

People will change for PvP to be fotm regardless. No fac/race change just punishes people who have spent the past 2.5years on their char from Classic.
What was the point of r1 titles, glad mounts, rare mounts - ZG tiger, Al’ar etc?

Yeah it is and I’m not a huge fan of it. I do like playing my own char tho and have no real interest in this + plunder where you’re on something else. Doesn’t feel like an MMO

it goes both ways, mage lock can’t kill anything until 60% either. Ofc mage lock is slower than other comps bc of spammable cc but the game is too slow to begin with
