Yesterday, Jan 20, 1901, Jesús Colón was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico. A writer, labor organizer, & activist, Colón documented the Puerto Rican migrant experience & fought for workers' rights in NYC. His book A Puerto Rican in New York remains a classic.
