Book Break! Thanksgiving break is the perfect time to cozy up with a good book. Encourage your child to read for 20 minutes a day — fiction, nonfiction, comics… anything they enjoy. Visit your local library and read to build imagination, vocabulary and confidence.

Wonderful morning at the @BuenaParkCA Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. Molly Husgins was a fantastic speaker who clearly explained how she averted a school tragedy through faith, preparedness and relationship-building with a child in need.

In 1904, Centralia made California history by becoming the very first school in the state to provide FREE textbooks to every child. A bold move and a proud legacy that continues 121 years later. #CESD150 #CESDhistory
