$EG Q3 print will be interesting - 10/29. At one point this year, they were exploring a +$2.5B LPT, now it seems like the appetite for it is far less at ~$1.7B. Most times a carrier buys a LPT or ADC it's a good dip buy, but with the purchase far below the original need I'm less

Wow hard not to laugh at this Wells Fargo dropped $ASIC by $1 because they didn’t like the management was taking a conservative approach with their Property loss picks! lol Would they rather them be ultra aggressive? Shaking my head.

Just so folks are aware there's three insurance entities $ORI purchased. It looks like American Reliable as an intercompany ceding relationship with Everett, so Everett's operating performance is pretty exact per the disclosures in $ORI investor deck, which is as expected. Again

Anyone curious on $ORI acquisition of Everett Cash Mutual here's the statutory data. I think a few things (1) appears they bought it at a discount to book (2) estimated to be accretive to EPS, which I agree with based on the average combined ratio of ~95.9% (3) $ORI average

The best part about having excess capital is the ability to repurchase. $ORI has $912 million authorized for repurchases. 2025 has been a light year as the stock had a nice run up above even what I had modeled for.

$ASIC couldn't have had a stronger quarter and Wells Fargo drops their target from $24 to $23. Unbelievable. Would love to understand their rationale if anyone has a copy. Increasing national distribution, adding new products, improving operating leverage, increasing property

Trade finance depends on invoice authenticity and single assignment. But First Brands’ bankruptcy suggests receivables were assigned to multiple parties. Each lender thought they had exclusive claim, all discovered they were funding the same underlying assets.
