8/ If we would activate #article6point4 of the #ParisClimateAgreement and allow the use of these credits in Europe, we would respect our international commitments AND win ALL. So why not doing it? NOW!

7/ It would be a win-win-win: for our industry getting on a slower pace to transform at lower costs, for African companies like Koko that help to develop sustainably their countries, and for our common global climate.

6/ Koko has millions of high-quality carbon credits already certified & deposited. They cost far less than what we pay in Europe for similar carbon emission reduction. Their expansion would produce for the same costs 4-5 times more emission reduction than we can afford in Europe.

5/ Koko offers stoves for cooking with #Bioethanol in a traceable & safe manner, cheap & clean. This substitutes cooking with charcoal or raw wood, reduces intoxication, safeguards forests & not only reduces emissions, but helps to absorb more CO2 by trees that are not cut.

4/ For best 10%, but at least 5% of the total emissions (e.g. why not "ONLY FOR #SME & #MidCaps"?!), then we could regain a bit of hope for our European Industry and - contemporarily - support genious carbon emission reduction and avoidance projects like @KOKO_Networks in #Kenya.

3/ If the above mentioned countries achieve to introduce into the EU's #Climate target for 2040 of 90% #CO2 emission reduction, the possibility to use #international #carboncredits already from 2031 onwards 👇

European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME supported the Commission’s original proposal and called for bolder #simplification. Europe needs smart, proportionate rules that uphold responsibility without destroying #competitiveness or jobs. https://t.co/9oBXgJ6JLV 5/

The compromise, part of Omnibus 1, would have taken essential steps to reduce disproportionate burdens: ➡️Excluding companies with up to 5,000 employees & €1.5bn turnover ➡️Limiting obligations to the 1st tier of suppliers ➡️Preventing trickle-down on European SMEs & Mid-Caps 4/

#SMEs and #MidCaps need certainty - simplify the #CSDDD/CS3D rules now! We call on MEPs to restore the compromise on 13 November and deliver a framework that protects the success and well-being of our societies. https://t.co/9oBXgJ6JLV 1/

CEA-PME will keep pushing solutions, including EU-African partnerships to cut decarbonisation costs for SMEs. Let’s lock in simplification that strengthens Europe’s real economy. https://t.co/ZS5bw9p0BW /6
