This term in cooking, Panthers are making pizza followed by apple doughnuts for dessert. A huge thank you to the PTA and @Tesco for their contributions to our cookery programme - without your financial help this important activity (including washing up!) would not be possible.

Panthers took Maths outside and explored measurement by drawing lines of different lengths and practising how to read metres accurately. It was a hands-on, practical session that helped everyone build confidence using standard units of measurement while enjoying their learning.

🛖📝Panther Class have been exploring Anglo‑Saxon village life! From homes and crafts to daily routines and community roles, they’ve been researching what life was really like—then showcasing their learning in a fantastic double‑page spread. 📝🛖

🦜🦜Parley the Parrot! 🦜🦜 Tigers have been learning all about Oracy from Parley the Parrot. He has taught us that Oracy is all about speaking and listening. Today we learnt to take turns by using gold coins.

🌳🔥Year 5 had a fantastic afternoon at Forest School yesterday. We explored rock, made dens, painted ourselves blue (!), started fires and made smores, which were delicious! We were even lucky enough to be visited by a tiny vole 🐁🌳

🎨🏃♀️Lions have had a busy 2 weeks ! In Science, we tested the effects of exercise on our bodies. After our star jumps and jogging, we checked our predictions were correct by checking our pulse. In Art, we are creating silhouettes and learning what makes hot and cool colours. 🏃♀️🎨

Leopards and Panthers visited St Laurence Church to learn about Epiphany. Fr Robert talked about the special visitors from Persia who brought gifts for the baby Jesus. Father Robert had sourced some real Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh to show the children.

❄️🐧Lions started their 'Frozen Kingdom' topic by creating their own research posters on their chosen polar animal. They spent the morning researching facts and working as a team, before presenting their findings to the class.🐧❄️

🇺🇸🗺️Leopards class have started their topic on North America. They're already gripped by the opening chapters of the class text 'Holes' and in Geography, they have been learning about the different countries, climate, location and geographical features of North America. 🗺️🇺🇸

❄️❄️Tigers have enjoyed learning about seasonal changes today. They have discovered that ice and snow are made of frozen water.❄️❄️

🍿❄️🚂On Thursday afternoon, the Lions and Tigers had a trip on the Polar Express! We had our special train tickets stamped, ready to board. We watched the film with our popcorn in our pyjamas - it was a lovely end to a busy week!🚂❄️🍿

Wow what an amazing PTA we have! Yesterday they put on a fabulous morning of shopping for the children at Elfridges and then in the afternoon created the most marvelous Santa's Grotto. All of these events have raised an incredible £2000!! Thank you so much to everyone involved.

Today we presented George from Warming Up The Homeless charity with a cheque from our Warming Week. He thanked us for all our efforts in fundraising, collecting of items and understanding of the challenges of homelessness. Thank you to our families for your generosity.

🎼🎄Last night, Leopards Class took part in the One Voice event at the De La Warr Pavilion. The children performed so well and we were incredibly proud of the hard work and enthusiasm the children put into the concert. Thank you families for coming to support the event 🎼🎄

🎄💌🎅Lions and Tigers had the best day posting their homemade Christmas card's to the local community. We loved seeing all of the Christmas lights and decorations! Afterwards it was time to post our letters to Father Christmas with our traditional ‘kiss and wish’! 🎅💌🎄
