Great learning in history this afternoon, creating our own very long timeline. We learnt that Cleopatra was closer to the IPhone 4 than she was to the Pyramids!

Congratulations to our cross country team who came 4th out of 9 teams this afternoon with two year 2s holding their own in the Year 3/4 race. A special well done to our Year 6 pupil for his bronze medal.

Thank you to our wonderful families, staff and governors who helped to make yesterday's open day such a success. What a lovely atmosphere there was and it was great to see lots of new faces coming to look around our lovely school.

The Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate was very moving last night. Our children laid a wreath in remembrance and found the name of a soldier from Brookhouse who lost his life in 1915, aged just 17.
