1-Gweru General Hospital successfully conducted its first inter hospital air ambulance transfer, with a Zimbabwe National Air Ambulance Service Ansat helicopter (Reg: Z-WUI) airlifting a seven month old baby from Mpilo Hospital ;Bulawayo for specialised care closer to his family

1-Retraining of local pilots for the Ansat helicopter for the Zimbabwe National Air Ambulance Service is ongoing. Soon they will be fulfilling the socially important and responsible task of the state - to save lives and protect health.

1-A Helidrive National Air Rescue Service doctor (Dr Marshall Kahari) performed an extraordinary mid-air delivery of a baby boy from a 13-year-old mother who was being airlifted from Maphisa Hospital to United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH).

1- A Beechcraft 200 Super King Air (Reg; ZS-TAE) with 1 crew and 9 passengers force landed at Kanyemba Airstrip, Mbire, Zimbabwe on 18/06/25. All 10 onboard survived; however; damage to the aircraft .was substantial.

1-A group of 22 Air Force of Zimbabwe officers graduated as drone pilots. Humble beginnings with a DJI Phantom 4 Pro quadcopter drones; in the near future they will handle big things in the likes of Bayraktar Akinci or Wing Long II.

1-Tragic! An F-7 fighter of the Air Force of Zimbabwe from Josiah Tungamirai Air Force Base (No" 5 Squadron) crashed (30/05/25) whilst on a routine sortie claiming the life of a veteran pilot; Squadron Leader (Rtd) Ritswanetsi Vuyo Ncube. Deepest condolences to family & friends.

1-The United Kingdom has delisted sanctions against 4 individuals, and the Zimbabwe Defence Industries (ZDI). This could see the probable resumption of the supply of spares for Squadron of BAE Systems Hawk-60s operated by the Air Force of Zimbabwe.

1-Former British Army officer and mercenary Simon Mann died of heart attack aged 72 while exercising in his gym on Thursday 8 May 2025. No one could say he didn't live an interesting life. His Boeing 727-100 (Reg:4610) is still safely parked at RGMIA.

1-A Boeing 727-100 took off from Wonderboom Airport, Pretoria on 7 March 2004 & made a brief stop over at the then Harare International Airport to pick up Simon Mann & a special package, en route to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. That was the last time the aircraft flew. #SimonMann
