Here are some excerpts from an article by Eilis O’Hanlon in today’s [26 November 2023] Sunday Independent. The entire article is worth reading, even if you have to buy the SI in order to do so.
"Around 1.30 on Thursday afternoon, three children and a woman were stabbed outside a…

On principle I don't subscribe to
@Independent_ie
or any of the MSM, but if the Independent continues to be a voice for the silenced majority I may make an exception.

@Independent_ie
I subscribe (reluctantly!) as a way of keeping an eye on the MSM generally since I can’t in conscience subscribe to the Irish Times and watching RTE is unbearable, but also to get O’Hanlon and Quinn in the Sunday paper.
@Casey5122dark
She paints a grim picture for any chance of a change though. The situation seems hopeless. I fear we are in for very turbulent times as all outlets to express concern are taken from us. Leo wants to criminalise dissent now. It’s not looking good.
@Casey5122dark
If we continue to have no real alternative government (and SF are now effectively offering the mixture as before with added slogans ) the future is alarming.
@Casey5122dark
"Government alternative" = "Different prison conditions"
The system we turn to to save us is a self-serving, profit-oriented, power-hungry egregore that we have created with our need to be 'saved'.
Government replace mummy & daddy seamlessly, but don't love you the same.

Spot on imo, there is no far right, only concerned citizens with little political representation. Let's change that next election, there should be an independent candidate in every area campaigning to stop the asylum process.
@Casey5122dark
I know it is not an ideal scenario in a democracy, but to try to vote for an independent candidate rather than one of the 3 main parties. It might result in another election because they can't form a government, but boy would it send a message.
@Casey5122dark
Wanting to leave the EU and not wanting open borders are not so called “far right” positions and they need to stop painting them this way. Is Switzerland far right? Is Isle of Man? They are neutral, as was Ireland, until the globalists got their claws in.
@Casey5122dark
Not having open borders isn’t “far right”; it’s anti globalist control, and pro neutrality. This is why the so called elites, who are all globalists, will do anything to deflect the blame from themselves for what they have done to Ireland
@Casey5122dark
I’ve said before ‘far right’ is a trope imported from the USA to smear anyone who dares to question gov’t policy, even when done peacefully and reasonably. The Irish government has forgotten they work for the people of Ireland. Say no to globalists and their one world policies.
