If the progress of the Hate Crime/Hate Speech Bill through the Oireachtas has been stayed, that is due to the efforts of many, among whom must be mentioned:
The young people of Free Speech Ireland; the Edmund Burke Institute; Senators Keoghan, Mullen and McDowell, and Deputy…
Some names I should have included on my list.
First and foremost, Tracey O'Mahony, who was well ahead of the posse in warning of the dangers of this Bill (and other Bills/Acts).
Also, David Quinn, and Paul Murphy, TD.

Yes, in its entirety. The Bill is a mess. If there are any positive elements in it (and I very much doubt if there are), they should be extracted and presented in an entirely new place of legislation.

@paulmurphytd
deserves an honourable mention too as does
@DavQuinn
and they would not often be mentioned in the same sentence. That tells us that there are certain core values that all democrats share. It also tells us how dangerous the current Government is.

How corrupt are our politicians, when the majority voted for this “ legislation “, it suited all politicians to ensure no pushback against anything or anyone! It’s so easy now to see how Nazi Germany came to power!
