Even colder weather expected across Central New York tonight. A good chance that if you are under Freeze Warning (including Syracuse) we could be looking at the end of the growing season. #nywx

The stagnant weather over the NE much of September has led to a big drop in winds in Syracuse: 45% lower so far this month. The average currently is 4.5 mph, well below the average of 8.2 mph. For comparison sake, our windiest months (January/March) are just a shade under 11 mph.
