Took a Navy Seal-style zodiac captained by two native Hawaiian brothers to see some otherwise inaccessible coastline. As Vince Vaughan might say this motorboat was built for speed and not for comfort! š¬ So beautiful - and also so sore. It was like riding a soaked runaway horse!

"The Heir and the Enchantress" by Paullett Golden is a slow burn historical romance. Characters are vividly drawn, and the author does a good job painting the scenery. Despite how well written the books was, it just didn't quite pull me in head-over-heals. 3 stars.

Just finished up "Verity" by Colleen Hoover. This was my first Collen Hoover read - so high expectations. The writing was good; the mystery was creative. But in the end, I just didn't love the characters, and I thought some of the plot elements were super far fetched. 3 stars

Just thought I would post a couple of book reviews. I am an Audible Listener, so these are all audiobook reviews. Just hoping to help others find a great read!. "The Life of Chuck" by Stephen King was amazing! 5 stars! Poignant story about the internal universe of each person

Update on the international short story contest I entered - I JUST CLEARED ROUND 2!! Which puts me in the top 200 entrants (from an original 5,800). They just posted the list - and I made it! . It's too exciting to just be in my living room in my pajamas folding laundry. .

A couple months ago, I entered into a big international short story contest. Just under 6,000 writers submitted stories for judging. Tonight, 1,000 of those were invited to round 2. And I'm one of the lucky ones! Time to sharpen my pen for the next prompt!
