I reaffirmed that healthcare is a fundamental right for every child, as provided in our Constitution and the Children Act, 2022. The registration will ease medical costs on CCIs while ensuring curative, nutritional, and preventive health benefits for children.

This initiative seeks to ensure that all children in statutory and charitable institutions are registered with SHA, guaranteeing access to quality healthcare services.

Together with my team, including the Director of Institutions, Mr. Peter Kabuagi, Rescue Home Manager, Ms. Margaret Kagwiria, and senior officers, I joined SHA officials led by Mr. Daniel Kabui to witness the registration of the first batch of children.
