Also answers the question: why was the capitol so vulnerable?
The FBI was created to investigate and stop the overthrow of capitalism. That's why they spied on King. That's why they killed Fred Hampton. They are on the same side of the rioters yesterday- to protect the ruling class. They don't need yall help identifying those people

From the activist on the receiving end of that pathetic punch:
@Shay221608 @JohnTwiss1 @CarolineHBauer He came asking if I was pointing at him. I said I’m pointing at all of y’all racists. He then CALMLY said “I’m not racist, I’m Muslim”.I said I’m Muslim too and at that point he took advantage of my guard being down. I thought I was talking to a man. Also, Cops were threatning ME

#Bayridge blue lives matter protester throwing the first punch. Why the need to protect your armed up cops? Why the need to punch people saying that #BlackLivesMatter? Why does it make you SO angry?

I’ve been to so many protests over the last month. The only vIoLeNcE I’ve seen is from cops and blue lives matter advocates. Imagine being this guy #bayridge #blacklivesmatter

Thank you @SSIReview and @apoliticalco for the chance to tell this story in the 2020 Public Servants writing competition. Civic innovation IS co-design!

Last year, we (@immabeemilyy, women in the NY criminal justice system, + I) co-designed new paths to support services. Much was too "risky" to implement, but the evidence is loud: restorative justice will only happen if gov gives power to lived experience:

To improve public services like the justice system, social innovators need to co-design solutions with people who have experienced them and find ways to cut through the organizational barriers they...

A couple years ago I was invited to an @AIANational @architectmag panel on affordable housing design (that was inspired by my housing design initiative at @nycpublicdesign). I did the panel yet when they published the session online I was literally erased. https://t.co/pe9jMy3xo5

I know how it feels! I can’t express how grateful I am to serve my fans. I’m overwhelmed by how many people took the time to make my day a little brighter.
We can’t express enough how grateful we are to serve you, Austin. Our officers have been working around the clock during these unprecedented times and thank everyone who took the time to write and make our day a little brighter. #OneAustinSaferTogether #Thankful

I am here in the back left. 👋🏼 You can’t fire all of us. Many have done the work already to make it easy to actually deliver on campaign promises. Try listening to us instead of ignoring or tokenizing our voices:

I was in this crowd too @NYCMayor. I am one of your employees. Your cops used violent force on people chanting “peaceful protest.” You are using tax payer funded public servants against your own residents asking for racial equity and justice. Shame on you
I'm so thankful this man captured what happened. This was my contingent, I was in this crowd. We were a totally peaceful contingent and they stormed us and gleefully beat folks to the ground. Said it was for "being in violation of the mayor's executive order."

https://t.co/esGQbHiqpX Outraged by the brutality perpetrated by the NYPD during the recent protests against police violence, City employees are asking for the progressive policy we joined gov for. DM me if you are a City employee and want to get in touch with the organizers.
