Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add leeks and potatoes, sauté for 2 minutes. Add stock and cover for 10 or until veggies are tender. Add asparagus, simmer uncovered for 6-8 minutes. Remove from heat, transfer 8 asparagus pieces on the side for garnish.
