3rd game in 6 days & it showed. Despite a decent 1st half the 2nd turned to 💩 as fitness told & Abercwmboi took full advantage. Can't knock the players as many turned up with injury's & not helped by COMET not confirming registrations submitted on w/e & told they are busy😡

The 3rd game in 6 days is scheduled Tuesday evening...local league mind, despite kids off school - so some players away, some working & obvious risks of injury & fatigue but will see what we can put out come Tuesday👍

Less than 48 hours later back in action!! Home v @Royal_OakFC New kit, full debuts for Ladd & Smith but a tight 0v0 at HT. 2nd half Fred scored with his 1st touch but a rocket levelled, Edwards put us back in front but a harsh red left us try to cling on - we couldn't 2v2 FT

Season underway on Thursday after hour plus drive to get Hirwaun for a tough opening match v @PenywaunC A few debuts, a few imjuries in a well contested game, but despite efforts, we couldn't prevent the Home team taking the 3points.

Seniors were left frustrated a raft of missing players from last week & several playing whilst not 100% but at 2v2 55mins it fell apart quickly and credit to Cwmaman who took full advantage to record the win. It was always gonna be a tough season...

Another tough game for us yday in a tight match which went to the last kick of the game against a strong @Royal_OakFC Possibly the better chances with bar & keeper denying us but 2 disputed goals either side of Eggy's 1st give them the 2v1 win. Fine margins but improved again.

U15s opened up their league campaign with a good 9v1 win v Cwmaman, a strong 2nd half with most of the goals shared but Riley did grab ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️. Both U9 & U11 squads enjoyed their return to mini footy at the Ynys, great to see normality returning & weather kind too👍 #lovefooty

A tough return to competitive fixtures seen the Seniors put in a strong performance at 0v0 HT but came up a little short in the 2nd half against the league leaders - Butchers Arms. A few hanges from midweek with few aches & pains nursed but a week recovery for the next fixture!

Well the first match in 18months, a much changed squad & come away a little disappointed with only a point. A well contested game & pleasing to see the effort from the squad. Short recovery with the next game tomorrow & hoping @FAW got Friday staff to confirm registrations!
