I am still thinking about these protests outside of Chicago yesterday and how ICE agents on top of a roof shot pepper bullets at a woman in a walker who was just sitting there holding a sign

Large crowds gathered to protest early Friday and later that evening outside of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Broadview.

Resonant and beautiful are great descriptors of this show. Finished it last night and it was just what I needed. Thank you Mo!

I presume that Trump is talking about the fact that the FAA has a hiring pathway for disabled people, known as Schedule A hiring. If youre not aware of what that is, it exists bc the fed govt is SO BAD at hiring disabled people. 1/6
Trump on the Potomac plane collision: "The FAA is actively recruiting workers who suffer severe intellectual disabilities...under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the company's website."

I mean, at the end of the day, a majority of disabled people spent 5 years warning people that fascism takes hold because of the eugenics of pandemics and we were all told “not everything is eugenics,” so…

So what happened was the Secret Service showed up this week, of all weeks, to a Chicago Public School in a predominantly Latine neighborhood identifying themselves as being from Homeland Security. They purposely terrorized this school. Shameful.
UPDATE: Secret Service agents — not ICE — were denied entry at a Chicago school despite initial CPS reports, a CPS source said. Secret Service agents were looking for an 11-year-old who posted an anti-Trump video, the source said. https://t.co/h4jcCejTMR

Children and air pollution 👇 If PM2.5 levels go up by 5 µg/m³, students' GPA can drop by as much as 1 point. This is especially true for subjects like math and science. Girls and #children with non-Danish mothers are more likely to be affected by the effects of #airpollution.

Here's the AP Story my wife and I took part in, we're about halfway down. I've talked to a few folks I respect, and I get there's some issues with framing, but all things considered, we're glad we did this, and, personally, I'm glad I'm on record. :) https://t.co/w0C3Td2tZ5

For the love of all things holy: wash your hands (hand sanitizer doesn't work), use bleach to santize (lysol wipes don't work), and stay home for a day or two at least after feeling better (still spreads like crazy in the days after you stop expelling fluids from your body)
The stomach flu is hitting Chicago harder than usual as norovirus cases surge nationally. https://t.co/5J0vUmZ4Ce

#MedTwitter There is a widespread outbreak of #norovirus, a GI virus that causes projectile vomiting & profuse diarrhea usually lasting 24-48 hrs. Wastewater levels nationwide are high. It’s miserable & incredibly contagious. So many friends are texting us SOS, so here’s a 🧵. /1

Leana Wen with another problematic take in her uninformed opinion column. She suggests RFK Jr.’s lies about fluoride harms have merit. She’s wrong. She ALSO isn’t aware that most European countries fluoridate their salt, yet claims they don’t use fluoride. 1/

One thing that has worked well for me in activism and community building is acknowledging that change requires lots of kinds of action and that people will all play different parts of it. I’m unlikely to tell people, “This is how you make change and you’re wrong otherwise.”
