AZALEA-TIMI 71 Phase 2 trial: In pts with AF at moderate/high ischemic stroke risk, monthly SC injection of Factor XI inhibitor abelacimab resulted in 67-77% less major or CRNM bleeding vs. rivaroxaban. Trial stopped early due to bleeding benefit in abelacimab group. Phase 3

I'm personally not really sure what to make of the spaghetti mess endpoint of a trial that is DAPA-MI. Acute MI patients are often socioeconomically vulnerable so would like to see more benefit. #AHA2023.

Ian from @UCSFNephrology here. No COI. Only use bumex over lasix because I think teams are less scared of 4 mg of bumex than of 160 mg of lasix since the numbers are smaller. #nephjc.
