The 1999 Acura RL's six-year-old Strongarm 4146 hood struts were shot, so I installed another set (Made in USA). There's a video on the Car Apprentice YouTube channel if you need it. 👍

Replaced the 1999 Acura RL's spark plugs with Denso double platinum plugs. One of the tube seals is leaking, so I'm going to replace the valve cover gaskets and tube seals as preventative maintenance.

Working on a 2008 Acura MDX engine rebuild assessment video. The only issue I've found so far is a small oil pan leak. So, I'll have to remove part of the exhaust to drop the pan and reseal it.

The 1999 Acura RL's brake master cylinder was leaking at the rear, so I'm replacing the brake booster and the master cylinder. It hasn't needed much work the last couple of years, so something was due to break.

Easiest AC fix ever on the 2004 Infiniti G35X...the last mechanic who worked on the car forgot to reconnect the compressor connectors. Sounds like something I might do 😀

Relative's Infiniti G35X had a misfire P0303 code that turned into a P0300 random misfire. Driver's cat inlet temp was higher than outlet - should be reversed. P0303 returned after cat replacement. Cleaned cyl 3 spark plug tip with brush. Driven about 25 miles - no codes.

Thought I was finished working on the 1982 GMC C2500 for a while...then it rained. Cleaned up the rust on the firewall, then sprayed Rustoleum Rust Reformer, filled with metal-reinforced Bondo, and covered with Rustoleum High Performance primer and paint. Good enough for now.

Here's a clip of the 1982 GMC C2500 running and shifting through gears after transmission rebuild and other work. I've put about 20 miles on it, and it's driving beautifully.

The 1982 GMC C2500 is teaching me a lesson about maintenance. I've replaced a TON of parts, and I have a lot more work left. The front stabilizer bushings were shot, so I installed new Moog bushings.
