https://t.co/cGTt85MsNK I knew I was going to love #Hoppers based on what I've heard from early reactions, but I wasn't prepared for how much I'd fall head over heels for it! With its strong environmental advocacy, it makes me wonder what Ted Turner thought of the movie. See it!

Quick thoughts: Believe it or not, there is a direct pipeline between Ted Turner and Hoppers. For those who might be too young to remember, shortly after Turner launched Cartoon Network, he and…

Just to “yes, and” this post, I know a lot has changed since the initial announcement of Chapter 1 (fuck slates, but that’s a topic for another day), but the fact that this was one of the few projects that’s actually on track and ready to be released shows a lot of confidence.
When James Gunn announced Chapter 1 of the DCU, he described Lanterns as “a True Detective–type mystery with our two Lanterns, Hal Jordan and John Stewart.” I don’t see where the trailer looks different than how the show was described from the start.

I know they've already made a couple shows with this character, and he even appeared as a guest on Arrow, but let's give Human Target one more shot? Or, an All-Star Western series from the creator of Deadwood?
If you wanted to do a grounded superhero project maybe you shouldn't have picked the franchise where thousands of aliens handpicked by million year old Smurfs guard the universe with magic rings that are fueled by the power of feelings. Just a thought.

Voting for the Academy Awards closes tomorrow, so I might as well ask one last time: which of these two front runners do you think will win Best Picture?

Every year I ask the same question to film pundits who are knee deep in award season: would you rather be right, or would you rather be surprised? Predictions are suppose to be fun, which is exactly why I don't obsess over Oscars all year round.
Why does it bother the internet so much if a handful of us are open to other possibilities? If you're correct, that's awesome. But never have I, or any of my colleagues, said it was NOT ever One Battle. Talk to voters and you would know this.

It's over. Netflix has declined to increase its offer for Warner Bros. Discovery after the David Zaslav-led media company’s board declared Paramount Skydance’s new bid a “superior proposal.” https://t.co/cVDkzl2u4W

If you’re upset, get over it! This is good for criterion because it’ll probably sell out quickly.

https://t.co/aa2dGcJ2k3 Bart Layton is back after 8 years with his new directorial effort #Crime101! I went into this movie without any real expectations, and came out pleasantly surprised. It has a great cast, led by Chris Hemsworth and one of Halle Berry's best performances.

Quick thoughts: Bart Layton's filmography is interesting, to say the least. He began his career as a documentarian, but has slowly transitioned into writing and directing narrative features. I was…

We have a segment on the Zeroing Out podcast called “Social Media was a Mistake,” and boy howdy is this the perfect example to bring up on the next episode!
Gooseworx got harassed because TADC fans have poor media literacy and berated her for stating that Pomni and Jax were the main characters of her OWN SHOW?? Yeah no I can see why they want to abandon this franchise as soon as it’s over.

https://t.co/dJFjmapxLj Don't believe the anti-hype of the film's 0% approval rating on the tomatometer, ##PsychoKiller is neither good enough to amass a cult following, nor bad enough that the studio needed to hold the review embargo until AFTER it opened to the public.

Quick thoughts: On the one hand, I hate that it's 2026 and I still need to explain how Rotten Tomatoes works. However, given how much the website itself has changed over the last 27 years, and not…

While I personally don’t want WB selling themselves to anyone, I ESPECIALLY don’t want them selling to the Ellisons, who will do far more harm than Netflix. For one thing, they won’t need to layoff any employees due to redundancy.
James Cameron wrote a letter arguing that if Netflix is successful in its bid for Warner Bros.’ studio, it would be “disastrous.” “I believe strongly that the proposed sale of Warner Brothers Discovery to Netflix will be disastrous for the theatrical motion picture business that
