After the brave Modakeke warriors drove the coward Ife people and their Ooni out of Ile-Ife, the Ife people spent 30 years as refugees in Oke-Igbo. It wasn't until Alaafin Adelu instructed Bashorun Ogunmola to relocate the Ife people in 1870 to the current site known as Ile-Ife.

Ogonne, Oduduwa forced a confederacy. This brought these 3 groups of people to form a unified identity. Obatala dynasty existed ruling IFE as Olufe before Oduduwa. Oranfe dynasty existed ruling Ugbomokun land as Ogonne before Oduduwa. Why are they calling us Omo Oduduwa?
