CYCLONE TAYLOR (2Y0 ON-bred colt, by @DarleyAmerica's Essential Quality x Astrollinthepark). Named in tribute to Hall of Famer Fred "Cyclone" Taylor: hockey's first star, 2x Stanley Cup champ, called Canada’s Babe Ruth, was the world's highest-paid athlete & greatest of his era.

Congrats to the Nepean Knights @officialKLJRB for going 7-0 on their season so far. These Canuck lacrosse players run like friggin' thoroughbreds. Go get 'em boys.

THUNDERMAKER (2Y0 ON-bred colt, Modernist x Miss Matzo, owned with X-Men). Named after a cool art exhibit by Mi’kmaw artist Alan Syliboy from Millbrook First Nation in Nova Scotia. Inspired by the legend of the Peacemaker, a hero who brought a message of unity to warring nations.

FULLY COMPLETELY (2Y0 ON-bred filly, Perfect Timber x You’re Beingplayed). Named her after The Tragically Hip's third album. First time Downie wrote all lyrics & focused them on Canuck icons and history. Most “Canadian” album ever & still plays like a greatest hits compilation🩷

Congrats to Pietro Moran who returned to action @WoodbineTB on opening day and won with our filly SINCLAIRITY. We thought it would be fun to invite some skilled Ontario soccer players to cheer on a horse named after Canada's best, Christine Sinclair. They're racing fans now!
