Mushroom season in China? You bet we’re diving in! My colleagues dragged me (no complaints!) to a spot known for Chaoshan beef hotpot, and surprise surprise, they threw in a whole mushroom party. Also… it was 5pm and people were already queuing up like it’s Black Friday.

This traditional Chinese fan is honestly the best summer accessory I’ve ever owned. Lightweight, effective and super cheap. Apparently, a true local would go shirtless, belly out, and just stroll around waving one of these like royalty. Maybe next time. Maybe. 😅

It’s lychee season again and I simply cannot resist! There’s just something about the sweetness, the juiciness, that makes it feel like summer has officially arrived. So of course, we made a trip to the fruit farm to get our hands on the good stuff!

My Chinese colleagues have been talking a lot this week about the passing of Hong Kong food critic Chua Lam. I honestly didn’t know much about him before, but today we decided to visit one of his restaurants. Thank you, Mr. Chua Lam, for spreading the good foodstuff. RIP. 🥢🍜🙏

I didn’t expect to laugh this much on a Friday night. Went to my very first comedy night in #Guangzhou and oh boy, what a ride! Guess what? It was her very first time doing standup. Like, ever. No nervous energy, no awkward silences, just pure stage magic and smart punchlines!

This Saturday night turned out to be wildly fun! We walked into what I thought was just a quick stop at the GOAT Bar… and boom, their 5th Anniversary party was in full swing! Balloons, friends, music, laughter, and a full-on awards show lit up the night!
