Honestly the question needs to be: Does a 3 loss Alabama team get in….And do they deserve to be in? -Barely best Auburn & South Carolina Would the committee dare leave an SEC school out for Miami AND Notre Dame?

Miami should be in over Notre Dame. There’s no debate. Head to head should matter, otherwise why play the games. Texas should be in over Notre Dame. Notre dame lost to A&M, Texas beat A&M. Notre Dame didn’t beat a team in the top 15. Texas beat 3 teams in the top 10!
With 3 wins vs. top 10 teams, Texas should be in the playoffs! Don’t punish @TexasFootball for having the courage to play Ohio State.

There is a very similar analog to this situation. In 2017, No. 2 Auburn lost 28-7 to Georgia in an SEC title game rematch. It was Auburn's third loss. They dropped five spots to No. 7. Alabama at 11-1 and idle moved into the field.
