Today I signed a law that outlaws compounds like EPIC City. - It prevents “no go zones“ - Prevents selling land to only Muslims - Requires disputes to be brought under Texas laws & Texas courts NOT Sharia law Transactions & business in Texas are not governed by Sharia law.

It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of Jodie Laubenberg who served the citizens of House District 89 for 16 years prior to my taking that office. She loved Jesus and loved Texas. She was tiny but left BIG shoes to fill. We miss you, sweet friend.

The proposed EPIC compound in Collin Co. has serious legal issues. A dozen state agencies are investigating it, the Attorney General will look into it, and legislators are considering laws to restrict it, as well as laws to prevent foreign adversaries from buying land in Texas.
