Conservators try not to change the objects they work on too much. One conservator made a support that will go on top of the damaged part of a Baroda state flag. It was on display in Montreal in 1939 & 1953 as part of a collection of flags of the empire. CMH 2013.34.306

One of my favourite parts of the Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa is the giant map of Canada located in the entrance of the Canadian History Hall. It shows the vastness of our country without borders, cities or place names.

On Aug. 26, 1957, Rick Hansen was born in Port Alberni, British Columbia. He became a Canadian hero when from 1985 to 1987, he wheeled through 34 countries and raised $26 million to help people with disabilities. This is the story of the Man in Motion Tour. 🧵 1/18

When you visit the Canadian Museum of History, you will be able to see Alex Janvier's masterpiece Morning Star. Painted in 1993, it covers the dome of the Haida Gwaii Salon. It covers 418 sq-metres and took him and his son Dean three months to paint.
